Up on the Downs

Visitors to the Steyning Downland Scheme may have noticed the 'Poetry Boxes' dotted around, strategically placed next to benches, in which they were invited to scribble their musings in a notebook, as they surveyed the picturesque views.

Now these assorted poems, limericks, rhymes & musings, written by hundreds of people who visited the Steyning Downland Scheme between 2018 and 2020, have been collected into a wonderful book! It is a unique insight into our visitors musings as they surveyed the landscape, and who knows - maybe one of your scribbled thoughts has made it into the book!
